TRIPP RHAME
DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY

At the tender age of 4, Tripp Rhame's future was forever altered when he lost a fingernail to the gears of a 16mm projector. Abandoning his dream of hand modeling, he decided to spend every available moment in his school's AV department. After graduating from The Atlanta College of Art in 1992, he began his ascent up the production ladder, working at some of Atlanta's premier studios.

Tripp’s co-workers think the world of him, and the world thinks the world of him as well. He has earned gold BDA awards for both editing, direction, and the BDA 2002 Best of Show for cinematography on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim launch campaign. In 2005, Tripp joined forces with Tom Hamilton at Spitfire Studios. He is currently the leading D. P. in Atlanta trained in the use of the RED ONE camera. Tripp enjoys the White Stripes and chocolate milk.

TOM HAMILTON
PHOTOGRAPHER

Tom Hamilton first developed a passion for photography in high school, replacing his previous hobby of watermelon seed spitting. His new pastime quickly evolved into a successful stint as a journalist, culminating in a Pulitzer Prize nomination in 1978. In an attempt to broaden his horizons, he opened Spitfire Studios in 1981, launching his freelance career. Highly sought after for his keen eye and sharp attention to detail, Tom quickly built a name for himself, and in 1989, he opened Spitfire Imaging, which has grown into one of Atlanta's most respected commercial photo labs.

With maverick Director/DP Tripp Rhame jumping on board in 2005, Spitfire Studios was born. Always embracing and testing new technologies, Tom added two RED ONE cameras to his arsenal in the Fall of 2007, staking Spitfire's claim as the Southeast's leading expert in advanced digital cinema. Known for a serious “toy problem”, Tom owns almost every electronic gadget known to man.

NANCY RABERN
ACCOUNT DIRECTOR

Nancy began her illustrious career in television, working as an intern for the news department at the local ABC affiliate in Augusta, GA. Shocked to hear that she wanted to be behind the camera, the news director quickly moved her down to the production department, where she ultimately became the weekend
technical director.

Moving to Atlanta in 1996, Nancy rounded out her knowledge of the production business, working in post production and eventually as the executive producer for a local production company. Understanding client’s needs and the process of getting s**t done, Nancy grew into an Account Manager Extraordinare. She now updates her Facebook status hourly, while still getting paid.

JENNIFER BOXLEY
PHOTOGRAPHER

Jennifer Boxley has been a family member for nearly a decade. Her freelance career has grown in tandem with Spitfire’s success. Jennifer’s clients marvel at her ability to bring out the best in her subjects. Her creativity, energy and wit combine to make her one of the most sought after young talents in the Atlanta area.  In addition to her obsession with everything soccer, Jennifer has a penchant for not being able to make her printer work.

MICHAEL LEVINGE
DIGITAL IMAGING TECHNOLOGIST

Michael Levinge dreamed about becoming a Major League Baseball player.  After eight seasons of Little League competition, he struck out three times in three plate appearances. Hollywood seemed the next logical choice. He officially fell in love with the world of movie-making while taking an Intro to Cinema course his freshman year at UGA.  With his father's camcorder in hand, he terrorized the other students, filming unsuspecting pedestrians.

Through a well-timed phone call from a friend, he connected with Spitfire Studios. After sending a staggering number of nagging emails to anyone involved with the studio, he was eventually offered a permanent position. When he isn't rendering 4K video files, Michael enjoys Italian food, interpretive dance and kickball.

JAMIE BLANCHE
GENERAL MANAGER

Jamie Blanche was birthed the same year as Spitfire Studios in 1981. Born in Vegas and raised in North Carolina, she arrived in Atlanta in 2000 to attend the Art Institute of Atlanta where she started her quest for retouching dominance.

Jamie started at the bottom with Spitfire in July of 2004. She has climbed the ladder from taking out the trash and cleaning the toilets and to now mopping the floor AND taking out the trash (oh yeah, and running the Lab)! Amongst her time at Spitfire she has become a jack-of-all-trades (Thanks Vegas). Because of Tripp’s fingernail or lack there of, she now counts hand modeling as one of her many trades. Sorry Tripp.
